Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior IT Bench Sales Recruiter who owns the full bench sales cycle end to end, from identifying and marketing consultants to closing placements with direct clients and tier-1 vendors. You bring deep knowledge of working with H1B, OPT, CPT, and Green Card candidates, understand the compliance nuances that come with each visa type, and know how to move fast without cutting corners.
This is a high-impact, high-ownership role. As we scale, the right person will grow into a team lead and help hire and mentor the next generation of our bench sales team.
What You'll Do
Market active and upcoming bench consultants (H1B, OPT, CPT, GC, USC) to direct clients, implementation partners, and tier-1 vendors
Identify and qualify new client accounts; build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers, procurement contacts, and vendor managers.
Source job requirements from client portals, job boards, and direct outreach and match them to bench consultants based on skills, visa status, availability, and rate expectations.
Negotiate bill rates and pay rates; manage submissions, interviews, and offer closures.
Manage the end-to-end placement lifecycle: submission → interview coordination → offer negotiation → onboarding handoff
Maintain daily communication with bench consultants — understand their skills, update resumes, coach them on interviews, and manage their expectations on timelines
Track all activity in the ATS/CRM; maintain clean pipeline records and weekly reporting on submissions, interviews, and placements
Stay current on prevailing wages, H1B transfer timelines, OPT/STEM extensions, and GC sponsorship implications as they affect placement decisions
Contribute to building internal SOPs, email templates, and vendor lists as we scale the practice
Be ready to step into a team lead role — hiring, onboarding, and coaching junior bench sales recruiters as the team grows
What You Bring
3–6 years of IT bench sales experience in a US staffing environment
Proven track record of placements across H1B transfers, OPT/STEM, GC, and USC candidates
Strong existing network of direct clients and/or tier-1 vendor contacts
Deep understanding of US IT consulting: common tech stacks, contract types (Corp-to-Corp, W2, 1099), and how bench sales pipelines work
Experience negotiating bill rates and closing placements independently
Comfortable working in a startup environment — no large support team, no hand-holding, high autonomy
Strong written and verbal communication; professional and persuasive in client-facing interactions
Familiarity with tools like Dice, LinkedIn Recruiter, JobDiva, Bullhorn, or similar ATS/CRM platforms
Nice to Have
Experience building and managing a small bench sales team
Existing relationships with Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, or other large implementation partners
Understanding of MSP/VMS environments and how to navigate them
